Magnuson has been selected as part of the Travers Smith CSR Art Programme

Magnuson’s works have been selected to be included in the CSR Art Programme by Travers Smith for 2017-2018. This programme done in collaboration with the Serpentine Gallery in London UK., will provide invaluable insights in exhibitions planning and development and complement the professional development programme including legal advice, business skills workshop and more.

Melissa Magnuson’s haunting examination of time and place in Mississippi is now being shown in the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2017 Exhibit,  at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Newcastle UK from 29 September to 26 November 2017.

Since 1949 New Contemporaries has consistently provided a critical platform featuring a limited number of recent fine art graduates by means of an annual, nationally touring exhibition. Melissa Magnuson is one of 45 emerging artists selected from an application submission of over 1500.

Magnuson is a recent MA graduate with distinction from London’s Royal College of Art. As a Fine Art and History of Art honours graduate of Goldsmiths University, her work Supertourists was selected for the Goldsmiths University Warden’s Purchase Award and is now a permanent inclusion in the Goldsmith University Collection.

Magnuson’s recent exhibitions have included Art Dubai, Art Basel/Miami USA, Catania Italy and London UK.
